I have the SD30G2 Plus barebones. Pretty much the same machine I think. The OCZ will definitely reduce noise and heat. Now if it could tone down the blue power LED :-) If you get the OCZ SSD be sure to follow the instructions for partition alignment. It seems to be key amoung a couple of other tips that I found on the Newegg reviews.
