I can only tell you what I know second hand as I don't own one, but our keyboard player does. His unit will only do 16/44.1 reliabily on USB 2.0 with a certified USB 2.0 cable. Sometimes if everything is just right 24/96. But of course most of this doesn't matter for stereo system use with a Squeezebox. But getting back to stereo use, I didn't say it couldn't be hooked up to a stereo. By not providing XLR or RCAs, one has to do it the Mickey Mouse way with adapters or some oddball cables from Radio Shack. Basically what I'm saying is save the $175 and get an audio only Stereo DAC. IMO for my money, I would rather just use a plain SB3/SBR or get a nice audio only DAC to use with either of them. That's all I'm saying. If somebody is just using it with a computer only or with a mixing/recording/midi/computer setup, it has a lot going for it. As for me, I will again say I would rather just use an SB3 then put this device inbetween my SB3/SBR and Pre-Amp/Receiver. -- iPhone *iPhone* 'Last.FM' (http://www.last.fm/user/mephone) Media Room: Transporter, VTL TL-6.5 Signature Pre-Amp, Ayre MX-R Mono's, Vandersteen Quatro, VeraStarr 6.4SE 6-channel Amp, VCC-5 Reference Center, four VSM-1 Signatures, Runco RS 900 CineWide AutoScope 2.35:1 Living Room: Duet, ADCOM GTP-870HD, Cinepro 3K6SE III Gold, Vandersteen Model 3A Signature, Two 2Wq subs, VCC-2, Two VSM-1 Kitchen: Squeezebox BOOM Bedroom: SB3, GFR-700HD, Thiel 2.3, Second Boom Home Office: SB3, NAD C370, two VSM-1 Home Gym: SB3, Parasound Vamp v.3, Thiel PowerPoint 1.2 Mobile: SB3, Audioengine A5 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ iPhone's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13622 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=60362 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
