I have read in a bunch of posts discussing issues with running SC/SS in Vista SP1 references to running it as a service. I am not sure what this means. Could someone point me in the direction of an online explanation of what this means and how to do it? Ever since SP1 installed on my machine I am thinking that SS is causing my machine to hang. Thus, I need to look into alternatives before I try to rebuild the machine using XP. For the record I am trying to run Slimserver 6.5.4 on an HP with Windows Vista Home Premium. The only reason why I haven't upgraded to Squeezecenter is SHN support.
