It looks like VortexBox will do everything that AVA Media does. VortexBox rips CDs to FLAC and MP3 automatically and downloads the cover art. VortexBox is free instead of the £39 that AVA Media costs. And you don't have to spend $100 on Windows Home Server.
You can also use VortexBox as a generic NAS box and a back end for other players like XBMC and iTunes.
