Well, basically the guy must have something REALLY exclusive. And if he spends some money on it that really supports the feeling. And ripnas was the first solution I found. Will take a look at Vortexbox. But ripnas is silent and can sit in the same room. Making cd ripping a living room task which would increase to the selling points of the whole system. > > depending on skill level and how automatic it needs to be. > It MUST be fully automatic and as I said the guy doesn't want to even know that he is using a computer. Computers are work music is relaxation. Get the point? Btw.: The Linngui works on a computer which could be connected to that Sony display. What about a Linn DS? Album art browsing? Has any one had the chance to compare sc7 to linngui? It really should be straight forward and cost or brand or even a multitude of features is largely irrelevant. It has to simply work. I like SC7 for it's possibility to be adapted to taste and because it is open source based on standards like html/perl which makes things quite accessible for me. But SC7 always has a taste of a hackerish sort of feeling.
