The mixes overall work pretty well. Starting with MusicIP mix or just letting Sugarcube do the mixing, listening and exploring my collection has never been easier. 90% of the time the mix stays on track, but sometimes it can drift into a whole new genre/tempo quickly, but every Squeezecenter interface supports MusicIp so its easy to get back on track. Also sometimes the fingerprinting can flag whole collections/albums as similar, so you make a mix and its basically all the songs in the album shuffled. I thought it was a low bit rate thing, but it extends into some CDs I ripped myself at high bit rates so I don't know what it is. The biggest danger/downside is MusicIP going under which to casual observer seems to be a real possibility. Their forums are dead and development has slowed to a crawl. Also a lot of the newer features are only available on the Windows gui which is unfortunate. But even if they went under the software would still work, I hope. So one strong vote for MusicIP. It's really one of the best things about the Squeezecenter system! -- sander ------------------------------------------------------------------------ sander's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10737 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=52410 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
