I don't think it's bad for Logitech and while I can't speak for Logitech my impression is they think the same way. Apart from your arguments I also believe that while iPeng may cost a few SBC sales for a lot of existing iPhone or iTouch users the alternative to using an iPhone app for Squeezebox would be to go the Airtunes road and in the end Logitech is selling players. And even if it would be only even (as man people buying a SB for their phone as not buying SBCs) those who buy an SB also buy into a system architecture and I believe long term it will be tempting to add more Squeezeboxen.
