Wifi coverage is based on a lot of factors. One of the most important is the height of the transmitter from the ground. I moved my access point from my first floor to my second and x10 the range. So try these in order.
1. move your wifi router to the highest point possible. This costs you nothing and may get you the range. 2. if that doesn't work. Buy larger antennas for your router. These usually increase the range quite a bit. 3. if you still don't get the strength you need by an access point and put it near you garden or in your attic. You may also want to think about a NAS like VortexBox. You can use the internal sound card as a zone. VortexBox runs squeezeslave buy default so the internal sound card acts like an SB. Run the sound card to an amp and then to the outside speekers. -- agillis rip, tag, get cover artÂ… All you do is insert the CD! http://vortexbox.org agillis Lead Developer VortexBox ------------------------------------------------------------------------ agillis's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21140 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62467
