Thanks for your reply Rick. The device now works I have successfully upgraded the firmware and can now listen to music.
What issue I have now is that the Squeezebox display does not work and if the WIFI card is placed back in the unit the whole unit fails and I loose connectivity to the SqueezeCenter. I know that via the user groups that there were issues with SB3 (Classic) with WIFI and the Display. What I would like to know is if I can fix these, are there any circuit diagrams / distilled knowlege in the group with components that I could look at replacing.
