Agreed.

FM radio was a brilliant engineering solution at the time of its
development. We no longer need to make the compromises they made.

Most digital systems make compromises for commercial reasons - which is
a great pity. We could have studio quality in our homes via satellite,
cable or internet. A multicast would effectively be the same as cable,
and take up little general internet bandwidth.
