You read my mind :-).

You can also talk yourself into having more than one in a single room.
I've thought about adding one to my bedroom to connect to the bookshelf
system we have. I already have one on my bedside table connected to a
headphone amp.

Then there is the SBR connected to my stereo in my living room. When
my wife is watching TV in there, I resort to using headphones with my
laptop (another headphone amp). Why use my laptop when I could use
another squeezebox?!?!

These thoughts have crossed my mind, and I've seriously considered it.
But then I think to myself that it may be going a bit overboard. I
could solve both "problems" with an long pair of patch cables for the
bedroom and an extension cord for my headphones in the living room. But
those are such low-tech solutions :-).

Some of us, left to oursevles, would turn our houses into
squeezeboxatoriums!
