^^ Agreed. Although I love the idea of the touch screen, I can certainly see a place for it in one or two of the rooms in my apartment, the traditional screen has plenty of merits and I prefer that in the loving room where I can see it clearly across the room.
At the same time, I am concerned about the graphics on the touch screen. It will have to look elegant and clean and not too cluttered. Some companies get this right (think Apple) but most get it wrong and I don't want a cluttered screen any more than I want a cluttered apartment. Still, I am looking forward to some advances to the boom itself. This new boom may be my next purchase as I want two more. One for the bedroom which is a bit smaller and more elegant than the current boom (which is great for the kitchen but a bit large for a bedside "clock radio") and another with rechargeable batteries that I can take anywhere in the house including the outside balcony. Of course, any chance that one of these can also contain a slim server and store the music which can also be played then on the other existing devices, I would certainly approve. I really tire of having to switch on the computer just to listen to my music. Hmmm..
