~Registration: As you noted, the old registration form doesn't work anymore. That's because I changed the key-gen into a server side perl-script. Mainly to loose the email-thing and also the necessity to manually type in serial/key. Yes, IExplorer is hard-coded into SControl. I'll consider using the default browser. ~Settings: Server version will show up again. I forgot about that one. ~Setting cache location: You can choose the cache-dir by rejecting SlimControl's proposed location. SControl will loop through all your storage cards until you either 'cancel' or accept one. It's confusing, I guess. The only way (as of now) to select another location is to remove the registry key: //HKLM/Software/Sciatec/SlimControl/Cache. ~Network Could you give me the exact connection error. It should be one of: "The network is unreachable" "Server not responding - address appears unreachable" "Connection timeout - server is probably down." "Server not responding" "Waiting for server status" >From what you're saying, SControl appears to be slugish at high server. I've made so many changes and obviously paid too little attention to stability. I will approach this issue the next couple of days. If you find the time, would you send me the logfile of a SControl session. Preferably one with some of the hickups you've experienced. (Settings: Log-Level:2-3) It's located in SControl's application directory /programs/Sciatec/.../*.log I really appreciate you feedback.
