I have to add to the discussion- network video players are only useful if they also play web content.
My favorite so far has been the xbox 360 media center, since you can play your own files, but also netflix. If you buy playon media server (for like $40ish), you can also stream hulu to your tv. Pretty sweet. *I do not work for xbox or playon.
