Hey Steven, The problem can be either one of the following: SlimControl shows you an empty list, because it has scrolled past the end. move you finger up/down across the empty list. If things appear, you're all set. (that's a bug in version 0.95)
Or, SlimControl shows you an empty list because it had a timeout while downloading. Slimcontrol 0.95 is not too smart about handling transmission breaks. Go to the settings (cogwheel in the popup menu) Change your network timeout to 8000 or 9000 (ms). Restart SlimControl. Next time you open the browser, closely watch the status bar (top) If things fail again, you can tell what's happend. Get back to me.
