Thanks David I'll search on the following topics 1. iTunes 9 and folder monitoring 2. Synchronising files between windows home server and iMac OSX10.6 (if I can't get iTunes to do this) 3. iTunes 9 'self-managing' (to avoid me having to add every new folder of music manually) .
It would be great if iTunes could monitor the folder on the windows home server and reflect any changes in the iTunes library which will be held on the iMac (i'd have to go wired while it build the library given the amount of data). I'd back up my mp3s differently (have RAID on the home server) Will post progress here.
