It usually does snap in at an album. You can however stop scrolling by briefly tapping again, which will make it stop whereever it is. But I'll check again once I am back home. But I figured nobody is using that feature, so I removed it. Getting the meta info on the current track is of course a bit confusing if you tap another album. I agree.
