Wow - cool, now it works!!! Somehow the SB3 got stuck initially but now, if I have Mac and SB3 in standby (connected via WLAN) and I push the red power button on the remote the following happens:
On the first push I get "can't connect to squeezecenter...." on the second push I get "Waking up squeezecenter" and the Mac starts up. However It seems that the Mac reacts too slowly, so the next I see again "Can't connect to squeezecenter..." When pushing the power button the third time SB3 becomes ready to play! Awesome - even if not yet really smooth. Regarding the comments above: Yes, Apple hardware and OS can do this, just tick "Wake for network access" in the OS 10.6 energy saving settings. Seems that even the WLAN router needs to comply with the requirements and the up to date equipment from Apple does, I have a "Time capsule". see http://www.macrumors.com/2009/08/28/a-closer-look-at-snow-leopards-wake-on-demand-feature/ LS -- lagosirio ------------------------------------------------------------------------ lagosirio's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15161 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68345 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
