Gimmicks and marketing and adding to the feature list. Just about every electronic device I own has features I'll never use. But, obviously, someone does use these features and many are drawn to devices with long feature lists. I've not messed with the Facebook feature, but I have had some fun using the Flickr feature. Pick a subject and randomly see pics of that subject. As for the "music" tie in, with two button presses Flickr will display random images of the currently playing band/artist. See some candid shots of obscure artists performing live, etc... Gimmicky? Sure. Will many people use it? Probably. Will everyone use it or care? No. Will Logitech up their sales of these units with such gimmicky features?
