Hey,

I figured out the problem. The files were ripped on a Mac with iTunes,
and it apparently saves the tags and filenames using Unicode, adding
additional bytes for accented characters such as é, á etc.

SlimServer apparently doesn't support this. The way around it is to
edit filenames and ID3 tags to remove the Unicode accented characters
(you have to delete both the accent and the character, meaning hitting
backspace or delete twice), or change these characters to regular
accented characters using Windows Character Map program.

Support for true Unicode (1-4 bytes) would be great in future versions
of SlimServer.

Regards,
swedela
