I took the plunge and upgraded to 7.4. One stated objective of this
version is to make the ecosystem easier to understand but I have to say
I'm more confused than ever. Here's a couple of questions to help me
understand:

1. What's the difference between the built-in functions, apps and
plug-ins?
It seems to me that there's a huge overlap in functionality here. For
example I can get internet radio stations through the built-in menu
structure, or I can add say the BBC App, or I could install the iPlayer
plugin. What's the advantage/disadvantage of each method? If you're
trying to simplify things for consumers why have all these different
ways of doing the same thing?

2. What happens to menu items I remove from the home menu?
I want to keep my home menu simple so everyone in the family can get
straight to the important stuff like the music library, favourites and
radio. But I still want to be able to get to everything else in a
sub-menu somewhere. It seems to me that editing the home menu and
removing something removes it from the hierarchy altogether. What we
need is the ability to structure multiple levels of menu so we can get
rid of the stuff we never use and demote the stuff we rarely use to a
lower level while promoting the stuff we often use to the home menu. How
do I do this?

3. Why do the menu options look different through the local web
interface and mysqueezebox.com?
On my local web I see Music Library but on mysqueezebox I see My Music.
This is just more confusion.

I hope someone can set me straight. I'm not stupid I just don't
understand what Logitech is trying to do with all these changes.
