For ripping VortexBox uses cdparanoia. It has several methods to get a bit perfect rip but it does not use AccurateRip. How much does your power cost? At .10/kwh a standard PC like the one your using uses about 120watts and costs about $105 a year to run. A VortexBox appliance uses 24 watts and cost $20 a year to run and a Micro applaince draws 6 watts a year and cost $5 a year to run. So if you bought a VortexBox Micro Applaince for $400 your payback would be about 4 years just in power savings! Plus you would get a much quieter small box! -- agillis rip, tag, get cover artÂ… All you do is insert the CD! http://vortexbox.org agillis Lead Developer VortexBox ------------------------------------------------------------------------ agillis's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21140 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=71508
