Sorry, I missed the fact that sometimes it works ok and other times it doesn't recover in all this.
Perhaps it's something with the newer OSX version. I'm still running 10.4.7 on my test machine. Change the -dslimproto to -dall and upload the log after it doesn't recover. You'll probably what to compress it first as the file will be huge.
