Damn it! The SLIMP3 is hanging at the end of a powerline network facilitated by some COMTREND adaptors. I just hooked up the SLIMP3 straight to the router, and it's just fine :-( I'm guessing that these blasted adaptors have some low-level firewall built-in. I need to investigate. At least I know now what I'm dealing with...
