So I've exhausted my limited amount of patience waiting for the Touch and am wondering what my options are for getting 24/96 support in conjunction with SBS.
I'm not interested in spending $1500+ on a transporter so I'm looking to the software solutions. Will either Squeezeslave or Squeezeplay output bit perfect data? Will either play high-res material? I have a growing number of 24/88.2k and 24/96k files I want to play. I'd like an easy to use solution (I'm not a linux guy and hacking around with Alsa drivers last night with Vortexbox was enough to make me reconsider that approach). I'd like to build a small PC and stick a RME card in it and output via it's SPDIF port to my Grace DAC. I'll control everything with iPeng so I don't need a local display - This which would suggest SqueezeSlave, but I'm not sure how mature it is or how it will be supported going forward. Any comments or suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks kindly. -- durufle ------------------------------------------------------------------------ durufle's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8397 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=75397 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
