Well, it's not exactly a NAS. In some respects it's even worse ;) A slow pc with limited ram (384mb) with the data on a usb 1.1 device. But it actually performs resonably well (good enough that I wont cash out for a new one until I know if the touch will satisfy my needs). I think i will try enabling the SB server on the desktop pc at home and connect to that to see how performance compares. Still not a state of the art machine, but comparable to a typical netbook. For load-comparison, the "largest" artist in my library has 21 albums, which loads flawlessly every time.
