Wav input plug would possibly do away with some of that good soundquality a squeezebox have.
Is there any other product that would be more suitable ? The squeezebox is not a long cable to your soundcard, it's aimed at another type of user. So using it only for some special corner case would not use it's full potential and possible no guarantee that it will function any good in the future for that special case.
