Thought this might be useful for some here: There is a feature in iTunes 9.1 that allows a high quality bit rate for playback via SBS etc. and automatic conversion to a lower bit rate (fixed at 128kbps AAC) when copying to your iPod. This feature was previously only available for the iPod shuffle but is now available for all iPods and is configurable per device.
