Given that lief is looking for a solution to longer distance with 10baseT or 100Tx, I'd suggest we stick to those protocols.
[trying really hard to be nice] That said, what on -earth- makes you think that timing of 10GBase-T has bearing on 10/100? Of -course- there are SQ length issues - we're talking 500MHZ gear here. That's pretty near PCI-X 2.0, which, itself, was an accomplishment - over a few inches.
