You can see Spotify in proc-exp, right? Click it, then you should in the lower window pane see the dll's it uses. If you see DSOUND.DLL or dsound.dll, dbl-click it and check its path. If you don't find either DSOUND.DLL nor dsound.dll there, then something is surely amiss.
