Personally I don't believe that a solution is any better if it comes from Logitech as opposed to a 3rd party developer. A key benefit of the open source model is the ideas and labor of third parties. But if you want to wait for Logitech that's obviously up to you. In the meantime, The Synchronizer is plenty simple and easy (at least in my experience, with 8 SBs plus 3 SBCs), and I understand that the iPeng app is even easier.
