I'm on my second Samsung AMOLED (Super variant this time) and it's beautiful, and the best thing, black is really black. However on my previous phone (the Omnia HD) even that screen was much better than the one on the Desire which a few friends had. Don't know what was up with that. I now use the Samsung Galaxy S which is just superb, screen is quite good in sunlight, even out at sea in an open boat. And, already the Galaxy S has picked up a really active community and even if there is no official Froyo ROM yet, there are three leaked version with Froyo so far. pippin;565587 Wrote: > They intermix adjacent pixels causing a blurry effect that doesn't look > good IMHO, they heavily overstate colors and you don't see anything at > all outside in the summer because they are not bright enough (I tried > this). The PenTile layout of the Desire/Nexus One which is RGBG - as far as I know? - is just about the same as how the layout of the sensor in almost any digital camera (Bayer filter). -- Terje //Terje.tel ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Terje's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6773 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=69352 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
