I love music, but was never quite *that* obsessed! Once I got married I
just became less interested in sitting passively in front of a pair of
speakers, which is rather a solitary pursuit.

We started to go to more live concerts, and once the kids arrived
(three within 18 months!) I had little or no free time and when we did
get some we preferred to get out and try and resurrect our social
lives.

Even now the only time I have to listen to music is after my wife and
children have gone to bed. The weekends are chock full of family
"activities". I used to spend Saturday mornings listening to records.
Now I spend it on the side of a football or cricket pitch watching my
sons and chatting to the other poor sods in the same predicament.
