very special case. 

But I wouldn't know what a logic could be, that decides if those
headers can be omited. Other people would still need those headers,
when they name their folders different.

Maybe one could say: 
Whenever there is just one entry in each section (so 36 menu-items max
- 26chars and 10 numbers) one could hide them.
This would also work for a folder structure like 'A-C','D-F', '...'.
Also the alphabetical index would be omited then.

What do other people think ... a sound algorithm ?
