I have a problem with the way ACC displays a folder with non-consecutive
tracks in it. Let me explain:

My library is mostly classical music and I have arranged it generally
by piece rather than CD. So each piece of music, which typically has
multiple movements that are each a separate track in its separate file,
is in its own folder. Each track is still tagged with the CD name as
its album name and the tracks retain the original track numbering from
the CD, but otherwise, the CD structure is more or less ignored.

For example, a CD may contain 3 different sonatas each of which has 4
movements, but I store each sonata in its own folder, so that a folder
named "Sunshine Sonata" may contain only tracks 5,6,7 and 8 from the
original CD, and all are tagged with the CD name as the album name.

Usually ACC handles this in an appropriate way - it sees each folder as
a separate album and displays the CD name (from the album tag) as the
album name. In the example above, that yields three albums in the
catalog with the same name, but with each containing a different
sonata. That is OK for me.

My problem is that if the folder contains tracks that are numbered
non-consecutively, ACC splits the folder into multiple folders
according to the track numbers. So a single folder that contains only
tracks 10 and 12 from a CD is displayed by ACC as two albums, each with
one track, while SBS displays this correctly as one album with two
tracks. Or a folder with three consecutively numbered track and a 4th
non-consecutive track (e.g. an alternate ending for the piece) is
displayed by ACC as two albums, one with the three consecutive tracks
and one with the non-consecutive 4th, even though SBS includes all four
tracks as one album.

Is it possible for ACC to handle these situations differently, or would
I need to go in and re-tag the track numbers to get the desired tracks
treated as one album?

Thanks for a great program,
Swimmer
