Well, you are right, new media files need to be registered to Android
so that the music player apps can find them.
Normally, this should be done by SqueezeCommander automatically for
every downloaded file...

I've just tried it on my Nexus One (also running 2.2) and - you are
right, the new media files are not registered until I remount the SD
card.

The strange thing is, it works as expected on Android 1.5-2.1 (e.g. on
my 2.1 Hero)...
Maybe there were some changes between 2.1 and 2.2.
