Ben,

the resolution should not be a problem.
It's the same as a SE Xperia 10 mini or a HTC Tattoo.

It's more a CPU/RAM issue.
But the resolution is pretty low, so I think the CPU should be
sufficient.
128MB RAM is not really much, so multitasking will probably not work,
but as long as only a few apps are running at the same time, it should
work.
(Android will just start to kill background apps earlier than on a
device with more RAM...)

BTW: You are right, for a cheap dedicated controller, it looks
promising.
