If you are running stock 2.1 (and maybe 2.2) firmware on a HTC phone
and SqueezeConfig does not work for you because of the mentioned bug,
you can use my new "HTC UDP Broadcast Fix" app to easily replace the
wpa_supplicant binary by a working one.

You still need ROOT privileges to use the app, but it's more convenient
than hacking the wpa_supplicant through the shell.

It's tested on a HTC Hero 2.1u1 and works fine.

If you are using another HTC phone with the same problem (e.g. a HTC
Desire), please tell me if the app works for your so that I can update
my blog post.

PS: A nandroid backup is strongly recommended. Anyway, a backup of the
old wpa_supplicant binary will be created automatically on your SD
card.
