OK. Due to popular demand I've worked a bit on NOT always scaling artwork on NowPlaying. I might add that option to the next release but I tell you: You don't want that. Even though scaled-up artwork may look a bit messy if it has a low resolution, stamp-sized artwork on a large screen looks even more ridiculous. I think the solution I have is promising WRT the way it works but still, I believe you simply don't want this, you may just not know it, yet.
