yeah, i think it goes without saying really.

my mistake i guess... by average, i was just using shorthand, for what
i asked him, which was "experienced, not a newbie, but not 'the best' or
genius level" like i believe him to be. and thats what he said in
response.

interesting. i don't know if he actually knows indian app devs or not,
i'm just repeating what he said.

in any case, since you haven't yet PM'd me, i take it you aren't
interested in finding out if there is anything to what i am saying, or
making a new contact?

great. but i do think they should consider doing their own or buying
someone's and leaving its development in their hands, (giving them a
commission). so, for my part, i am not merely engaging in strictly
abstract thought.

great.

so if we agree on that, seems to me its not a far leap to see why
logitech should have, and still should, do something of their own they
brand.

that is an interesting question... how many more do they sell b/c of
the apps? i think we both agree enough to make developing one worth
it.

i looked on amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=squeezebox#/ref=sr_pg_1?rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Asqueezebox&keywords=squeezebox&ie=UTF8&qid=1287692326

i don't see just a SBRec, unless #8 is it... but $190 or whatever
used? no thanks. haven't tried the net::udap, last time i looked it
was way to complex for me. i'm still pissed at logitech for removing
the ability from SP, which i believe they did after i told them it
could do it in the course of a TT. i think they don't want people
buying a SBRec without a SBC, and so they killed the ability in SP.
had i known they'd be so corrupt, assuming they were, i would have kept
quiet. its esp dumb of them to do since tools like the one you
mentioned are available anyway.
