Thank you for the quick answer! I understand your point of view and I agree that clean UI is important. However these kind of actions does not need to be easily accessible. I mean they dont need to be visible all the time. Maybe they can be somewhere deeper in menu structure. You know, "settings/advanced settings/server/..." or something like that). Usually I rescan my library with my computer, but sometimes I notice that some modifications needs rescanning (like new artwork files, modified tags, etc). And if in that situation I am lying on my sofa (eh)iPad in my hand I would prefer to start rescan with it instead of walking to another room, starting a computer and so on. But this is certainly not an big issue.
