Albums/Artists/Genres are NOT cached in the current version, but they
will be in the upcoming 0.9.6 release.
That will probably help a lot with your first issue.
Regarding the cover art, I've not yet heard of such a problem.
But you have installed a SD card in the phone, right? (Because the
artworks are cached on the SD card)

and I'll send you a version with improved artwork logging.
Hopefully, that will help us find the source of the problem...
