I have been using port forwarding with Squeezebox server security for several years running 24/7 and I am confident that no one has been able to access it. I know it isn't perfect but I feel it is secure enough for me. So it sounds like the limitation was deliberately put in place to only allow for servers on the local network. This limitation wasn't put in place for Squeezeplay or any of the hardware players. Just an observation. Good luck with getting a new version out today! I think it's good that there is more competition for Android Apps - perhaps this will increase the chance of one of them getting playback ability soon. :) -- elziko ------------------------------------------------------------------------ elziko's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11835 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=86487 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
