Correct. But somebody asking the initial question (unless I didn't totally 
understand it) would very likely not be able to do that configuration. Relying 
on port forwarding as an official feature would be a support nightmare.

If the initial question was "why can I not enter a server address manually?", 
then this indeed is a different question and worth an enhancement request.
