I agree completely. The way I see it though there'll always be a distinguishing feature - Logitech are never going to introduce native playback into a free app while their meat and potatoes is selling hardware players and the server software is also free. Therefore anyone who isn't Logitech and is interested in developing a rival product MUST have that feature if they want to charge for their offering. If that's the case then I think, as consumers, we have the best of both worlds - a free official controller, or quality, paid, added-functionality third party players.
