I looked for some space and this is what I came with. The UI is not right, because top part should look different, and be more visualy separated from the song title, but I found some space :)
This is now playing screen with assumption, that play-rev-ff-panel is always visible on this screen. Other screens are less problematic, because they don't need fixed squared space for artwork. Personally I would make play-ref-ff-panel slide out of the bottom of the screen on other screens. So if the panel is hidden, there would be some small indication at the bottom telling you can slide something out. The height of this thing which I added at the top is exactly the height of what I cutted out at the bottom.
