At present there is no mute button, except for the SB Radio, which mutes the Radio's output if you press the volume button.
If you search the forums you will see that there has been a fair bit of discussion about mute commands over the years. There does seem to be some possibility of using the Boom's (or SB2/SB3/Classic/Transporters/Touch's) infrared remote to map to a muting function in SBS. See the following threads for some pointers. The last one has the most details, but some of the info may be out of date as it discusses slimserver 6.x code from 6 years ago. http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80988 http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=60813 http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=14921&page=2 However, my guess is that if you can't be bothered to click a couple mouse buttons to avoid ads that you "hate so much", you probably can't be bothered to customize SBS's ir map file. But if the commercials get annoying enough, rolling your own ir map file may be the way to go. Those links should help you get started. EDIT: alternatively, instead of muting, why not just change to another station for however long you estimate the ads run? -- aubuti ------------------------------------------------------------------------ aubuti's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2074 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88038 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
