My experience was horrible too. I went back to 7.54 until the bugs get worked out. I used 7.6 on Windows Home Server with 3 players (Transporter, Duet, Touch). All three updated their firmware without problem, but all the artwork was lost, the web-based interface was FUBAR (doubled text, unreadable menus), Trackstat ratings wouldn't display, and I got numerous "hangs" in the middle of songs. Other problems too, but now I don't remember them all. I gave up after a day. Maybe the next release will be more robust. I've been through 2-3 years of updates and this is the first one that really hammered my system.
