You need a 7.5 SBS on your network to downgrade it and keep it
downgraded.
This can be accomplished by:
- Installing a SBS 7.5 on a PC
or
- Run the built-in SBS inside the Touch after you have downgraded it to
7.5 and connect the Radio to the Touch SBS to downgrade it.
However, in both cases, as soon as the SBS is shutdown the Radio is
going to connect to mysqueezebox.com which will ask you to upgrade its
firmware to 7.6. I believe, you can abort this upgrade dialog by
holding left arrow for a while on the Radio, but I think that's going
to be a bit annoying.
Doesn't the 7.6 Radio firmware work reliable ? If not, what are the
issues you are having on the firmware side ? I thought it was mainly
SBS that had a lot of bug and the firmware itself was in pretty good
shape.
