Hi Raindogs, welcome to the funny world of Squeezeboxes :) Thanks to everyone already helping out, while I had to spend my time on the playground with my son (last sunny warm days here it seems).

As SqueezePad mimics it as much as it can (so users knowing a Squeezebox feel at home instantly) it also borrows this behaviour. Let's tackle these step by step: whole album gets added ================ There are multiple ways to work around that: a) do a long press on the song. In the context menu select Add/Add Next/Add To End and this time only the single song will be put into the playlist b) change the server setting: enter the web-interface of the server, go to the settings page -> Player -> Basic Settings. There you'll find the option "play other songs in album or directory". (Be aware that this setting exists for every every player) When you have turned off this option then SqueezePad/SqueezeboxServer will only put a single song into the playlist. If you still want to add the whole album from time to time in SqueezePad do the following: - tap the album cover (rather than the albums text which will get you to album tracks) - do a long tap on an album name (to get the 'Play/Play Next/..') context menu again "Tapping a song replaces the playlist" ======================= If you enter the settings screen of SqueezePad (the small gears icon to the bottom right), there is a 'playlist modification mode' setting. You can change it to 'Always ask' (my preferred one personally - and much similar from what you know from SqueezeCommander) or "Always add to end", "Always add next". The last two are mainly thought to be usefull at parties, where on also does not want to replace the playlists all the time. In the SqueezeBox world there is no 'Play Now' that does not wipe the playlist. So the behaviour you know from SqueezeCommander will be there in SqueezePad too. I might implement a 'Play Now' in the future (which essentially will use the 'play next' command and then instantly sends a 'Skip Song'). > > One of the reasons I bought Squeezepad was because I saw items such as > "Album Review" and "Biography" on the context menus which I assumed > would open an Opera browser window and bring up a website with the > relevent information. Any idea why > these are not present ? > These menu items are from the 'Biography' and 'Album Review' plugins. If you enter the web-interface of your server and go to settings, you'll find a 'plugins' page. Here you can install those plugins and will have their menu items in the context menu as well. These plugins also work on real Squeezeboxes (Touch + Radio + Controller) - they will get the text from a website and render them directly in SqueezePad (no extra Browser opens) or on the Squeezeboxes. The next version of SqueezePad (doing final QA right now - will be available in roughly two weeks) will have it's own feature to look up artists and albums infos, making much better use of the iPads capabilities.
